Women Against Forced Evictions in Cambodia
Stand at Kollwitzplatz, Prenzlauer Berg, on 19 May 2012
Basking in summer sunshine and with temperatures reaching the mid twenties, we had another very successful stand on behalf of Women Against Forced Evictions in Cambodia. The weekend market at Kollwitzplatz has moved its location slightly (which confused the setting-up team a little at first), but once the Saturday shoppers realised we were there, then most were very receptive.
Much to the delight of Prenzelberg's younger population, Theresa and Nelson managed to distribute our supply of Amnesty balloons in record time. More than 300 signatures were collected during our 4-hour stay, so a great big thank you to the team of Sabine, Cristina, Theresa, Ria, Ursula, Mary, Nicki, Nelson, Albrecht, Sandro and Gib for their time and effort.
