Locktow Kite Festival on 11 October 2015

Together as keepers of the flame, we kept the flames burning high as we flew our kite at the Locktow kite festival and collected signatures demanding the liberation of Muhammed Bekzhanov and an end of torture in Uzbekistan.

Our work in support of torture victim Muhammad Bekzhanov from Uzbekistan, one of the world’s longest-imprisoned journalists, continued at this year's kite festival at Locktow.

Again, our over-dimensional banner worked really well, with festival-goers, especially children, happy to sign it. We also collected almost a hundred "conventional" signatures on paper.

The weather was warm and windy, perfect for kite flying, and we were able to fly the Amnesty anti-torture flag the whole day.

As always, a big thank you to all who turned up and helped (especially our drivers!), and to the organisers of the festival for once again welcoming us to their fabulous event.
