Startseite › Cambodia Sub-Group Update
We had stands at, Kollwitzplatz in May, Bergmannstr in June and Südstern in September. The fruits of our work were the knowledge that we had informed many people about the plight of the Forced Evictions victims in Cambodia and also that we were able to send a petition with more than 650 signatures to the Cambodian Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister, Sar Kheng.
Also in May we were able to fly our Forced Evictions banner at the official opening of the Tempelhofer Feld.
In September our Forced Evictions Photo Exhibition had its final showing at the Rathaus Schöneberg after a very successful, ten stop tour through some of Berlin's schools, libraries and town halls. At some point in the future we will consider producing another, up to date, exhibition.
At our last Sub-Group meeting at the beginning of November, we decided that we would like to continue our work on human rights violations in Cambodia. We also want to set up a database listing locations that could possibly hold events with a Cambodia connection, museums, theatres, libraries etc.
We are now in the cold winter months so we are looking for places indoors where we can continue our outreach work.
